The Silent Thief is an impressive debut for writer/director Clary, avoiding most mistakes that plague first time features. Thematically, the film impresses, and on a character and performance level Clary proves that she has a grip on her horses.
Every so often – via one means or another – a short film really catches my attention. Such was the case with Dirty Girl, a six-minute short directed by Jennifer Clary. This is, hands down, one of the best and most compelling shorts I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing, both in terms of style and substance.
Her ingenuity, vigor, as well as devotion to her craft sets Clary apart and also bares testament to her accomplishments as a director, writer and producer.
